Renovating a historic Atlantic home, our client desired a traditional English cottage garden. Taking careful consideration of local environmental conditions,  the driveway, courtyard, and entrance were layered in concept and structure. Native plants and trees filter the road while stacked stone walls both retain slopes and define boundaries. Stepping through the teak gate, plantings of lavender, echinacea and other pollinator attracting perennials immerse one’s senses with colour, texture, scent, and sound. Locally sourced slate slabs with planted joints create walking surfaces to the breezeway.
